Darlene Irene Weigle

Darlene Irene Weigle, age 83, Biglerville, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg. She was born September 6, 1940 in Gettysburg, as daughter of the late Clair Elwood and Ruth Menetta (Fesser) Winand.

Darlene graduated in the Class of 1958 from Biglerville High School. She went on to study medical secretarial skills at Hagerstown Business College. She retired from Gettysburg Orthopedics after working as a medical secretary. She was a member of Saint Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #392 in Gettysburg. In her spare time, Darlene enjoyed traveling around the U.S.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Charles Francis Weigle of Biglerville and daughter, Tynia Weigle of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Brian Charles Weigle and sister, Allona Kay Ditlow.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Private Graveside Services will be at the convenience by the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Darlene’s memory to a charity of your choice.
