Darryl L. Hammond

Darryl L. Hammond, age 53 of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville. He was born Tuesday, September 20, 1960 in Chambersburg, the son of Delores J. (Hockenberry) Hammond of Fayetteville and the late Clair L. (Pete) Hammond. Darryl graduated from Shippensburg High School in 1979. He was a member of Cumberland Valley Hose Company, West End Fire Company and Vigilant Hose Company, all of Shippensburg. He was also a member of the Orrstown Lodge 262 FAM. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Deborah D. and her husband Marvin Brimer of Palmdale, CA, niece Ashley Christiansen of Lancaster, CA, nephew Tyler Brimer of Palmdale and three great-nieces. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 7:15 PM on Thursday, June 5 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverand Melissa Mankamyer officiating. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 5:00 PM until time of services. Masonic services will be held at 7:00 PM. Private interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
