David L. Burdette, age 67 of Biglerville, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at York Hospital. He was born Wednesday, August 9, 1950 in Saint Louis, MO, the son of the late Earl F. and Kathryn A. (Zalusky) Burdette. David graduated from High School in Terra Haute, IN in 1968. He was formerly employed by Letterkenny Army Depot for 25 years. After retirement, he worked for CACI in Washington DC as a consultant. He was a member of the Upper Adams Jaycees, Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 of Biglerville, and F&A.M. Lodge 262 of Orrstown. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Philadelphia Eagles. As a hobby, he enjoyed working on and repairing computers. He was a Jeep Wrangler enthusiast and even named his dog Wrangler. He served in the US Army during Vietnam, where he earned the rank of Sergeant. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie Elizabeth "Beth" (Connell) Burdette. He is also survived by one daughter, Laura M. Burdette of Boise, ID. He was preceded in death by two brothers Stephen and Douglas Burdette. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial services will be held at the discretion of the family.
