David A. Burkholder, Sr.

David A. Burkholder, Sr., age 78 of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home in Shippensburg. He was born Saturday, December 23, 1939 in Franklin County, the child of the late Harold W. and Helen M. (Carbaugh) Burkholder. He was a long time truck driver retiring after 35 years. He was employed by Ridgeview Woodworking until recently. He was a fun loving man who loved making others laugh and enjoyed watching others smile. David will be missed and loved by all those who met him. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Donna (Sulser) Burkholder, children, Kelli (Jerrid) Lozenski, Tammy Alexander, Annette (Brad) Wales, David A. (Jessica) Burkholder, Jr. and Michael Burkholder, eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Eugene Burkholder. He was preceded in death by brothers, Calvin Eutzy and Gary Gruver. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial services will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on January 20 at Newburg First Church of God, 260 Newburg Road, Newburg.
