David L. Oyer

David L. Oyer, age 80, of Orrstown, passed away May 2, 2023 at his home. He was born October 30, 1942 in Shippensburg, son of the late Percy J. and Naomi (Porter) Oyer.

David was a U.S. Army veteran and also a trailer mechanic for Daily Express in Carlisle. He enjoyed word puzzle books, tinkering with cars with his grandson, Hunter and loved eating shrimp.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara G. (Killian) Oyer of Orrstown; daughter, Penny Martin and husband, Chris; grandsons, Hunter Martin and wife, Scarlett and Fisher Martin, all of Shippensburg; brother, Robert Oyer and sister, Helen Oyer. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pat O’Donnell.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive Shippensburg. At the request of the family, services will be private.
