David W. Gipe

David (Dave) W. Gipe,age 44, of Chambersburg, went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2013. Dave was born in Chambersburg on January 28, 1969. He graduated from Chambersburg High School and continued on to receive a Marine Mechanics degree from United Technical Institute, Orlando, Florida. Dave was married to Amy L Miller on July 3, 1997; they were married 16 years. Dave worked as a welder for Manitowoc Cranes. He enjoyed boating and spending time with family. He was a member of the Sword of the Spirit Church and the National Rifle Association. In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by three children, Breanna, Nicole (two grandchildren), and stepdaughter Alyssa Hinds; his grandmother Doris McLucas; mother Jane Kalinich; a brother Sean and wife Roxanne; sister Melissa Izer and husband Shane; parents-in-law Terry and Patricia Miller; sisters-in-law Melanie and Shannon; brother-in-law Jeremy; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Wayne S. Gipe, stepfather Bob Kalinich, and grandfather Lloyd McLucas. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
