Dean L. McCauslin, age 95 of Biglerville, passed away on January 4, 2024 at his home. He was born Thursday, October 13, 1928 in Menallen Twp., Adams County, the son of the late Lee A. and Mary A. (Pitzer) McCauslin.
Dean graduated from East Berlin High School in 1947. He was formerly employed by Paul Pitzer Fruit Farm for 52 years. He then worked for Three Springs Farm until his retirement in 2014. He was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church in Wenksville, a member of the Wenksville Cemetery Association Board, and a life member of the Bendersville Fire Company. He was also a member of PA Farmers Assoc. He was an avid hunter, enjoying the great outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Betty A. (Grove) McCauslin. He is also survived by two daughters, Karen A. and husband Don Shughart of Carlisle and Kathy J. McCauslin of Carlisle, "adopted daughter" Linda Haverstock of Carlisle; three granddaughters, Jennifer L. and husband Toby Stum of Carlisle, Tracey L. and husband Jimmy Graver of Carlisle, and Kristi N. and husband Mike Lishinski of Carlisle; eight great-grandchildren, Drew, Brylee, Braylon, Greyson, Ryker, Tristen, Quinn, and Adrien; two sisters, Fay E. Black of Aspers, Mary J. Miller of Phoenix, AZ, two brothers, Jack M. and wife Doris McCauslin of East Berlin, and Paul G. and wife Barb McCauslin of Aspers, sister-in-law Connie McCauslin of Dillsburg. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Reid E. McCauslin, Harold J. McCauslin, brother-in-law Donald Black, and brother-in-law Albert Miller.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 126 Church Street, Bendersville with Reverend Susan Scott officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of services.
