Delores J. "June" Dick, age 68 of Gettysburg, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Gettysburg Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Tuesday, June 7, 1949 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Joseph H. Timmerman and Catherine D. (Wenschoff) and her husband Leon C. Young. Delores graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1967. She was employed by South Mountain Restoration Center for 20+ years. She was an Avon rep in the Gettysburg area. She had also worked at the Sheraton, now Eisenhower Inn in Gettysburg as a waitress. Her grandchildren were her life. June loved horseback riding and also did obedience training for dogs. She is survived by two daughters, Catherine "Kitty" D. and husband David A. Barry of Aspers, Tara N. Dick and fiance Candace Huber of Gettysburg, one son, Michael M. and wife Ann Marie Scott of Gettysburg, five grandchildren, Zachery D. Barry and fiance BreAnna Bretzman of Aspers, Brady A. Barry of Aspers, Courtney R. Barry of Aspers, Michael M. Scott, Jr of Gettysburg and Keyan B. Scott of Gettysburg. Two special people in her life were Lance M. Reese, Jr. and Lance M. Reese III. She is also survived by sisters, Beverly and husband Terry Hess of Hanover, Debra Sites and significant other Ben Porter of Carroll Valley, Christine and husband Randy Dillon of Biglerville, brothers, Matt and wife Angie Young and Vincent "Chaney" Young both of Gettysburg, many nieces and nephews, step-sisters, Linda and husband Howard Davis of Thurmont, MD, Beverly Myers of Hagerstown, MD, Tina and husband Joe Ohler of Thurmont, MD, step-brothers, Terry and wife Mona Young and Fred and wife Ethel Young both of Fairfield. She had two special friends that she considered sisters, Barbara Brown of Littlestown and Carolyn Mackey of TN. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter Amanda N. Barry, two brothers, Joseph W. Timmerman and David M. Timmerman. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Services will be held at the discretion of the family.
