Denise K. Cutshall

Denise Kriger Cutshall, of Goose Creek, SC, passed awayonTuesday, May 2, 2017 following a long illness. Denise was born on Monday,February 21, 1966 in Tallahassee FL, the daughter of Paul and Donna Kriger of Gettysburg, and was married for 24 years to her husband, Norman A. Cutshall. Denise is survived by her sister, Mary Rogari and husband Mike, her niece Alexa and nephew Zachary of Shrewsbury, PA. Denise was preceded in death by her sister, Tammy Lee. Denise leaves two daughters; Hannah (Cutshall) Sherriff and her husband Aleczandir, and their daughter Riley of Honolulu, HI; and Rebekah Cutshall of Goose Creek. Denise grew up in beautiful Gettysburg, where she attended Delone Catholic School and graduated from Gettysburg High School. She attended Central Penn Business School, Shippensburg College and graduated from Charleston Southern University. Denise had a passion for teaching, and taught school in Berkeley County and at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School, in Harrisburg. Denise spent her last years caring for her family, home schooling her daughters and participating in Girl Scouts and 4-H. She also enjoyed fostering and rehabilitating many dogs over the years, throughout the tri-county area. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Goose Creek. The family hosted a gathering of friends on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Charleston Cremation Center Funeral Home, Charleston, SC. Services were held Friday, May 5 at Immaculate Conception Church of Goose Creek. Local arrangements are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 3:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville. A reception of friends will follow at Zion Arendtsville United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that monetary donations be sent to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
