Denise Mary Hogan

Denise Mary Hogan, age 71, of Shippensburg, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at UPMC West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg. She was born July 12, 1952 in Tupper Lake, New York, as the daughter of the late William Arthur and Fern Jane (Rice) Dechene.

Denise attended local schools. She went on to live a life of adventure, moved to Alaska and other states before returning to Pennsylvania. Her husband, Clay was a pilot and they enjoyed their travels together. While in PA, she was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and keeping in touch with friends and family. She was known for always sending cards to those she loved.

Denise is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Dwyer and her husband, Joe of Sierra Vista, AZ; granddaughter, Sacha Marie Dwyer of Sierra Vista, AZ; first husband, Richard Lightner; sister-in-law, Marianne Dechene and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Robert "Clay" Hogan; two brothers, William Dechene and Gary Dechene; sister, Kitty Dechene and two nephews.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services are at the discretion of the family.
