Dennis W. Hancock, age 60 of Shippensburg, died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born Monday, April 27, 1953 in Carlisle, the son of the late Wilbur A. and Jean D. (McBeth) Hancock. Dennis graduated from Big Spring High School in 1971. He was formerly employed by C. H. Masland in Carlisle for 13 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Walnut Bottom. He was also a member of the South Newton Twp. Volunteer Fire Company. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Susan J. (Sipe) Hancock. He is also survived by a daughter, Nicole H. Weller of Shippensburg; two step-daughters: Cecilia R. Stoey of Waynesboro, Kandi S. Zeger of Greencastle; one stepson, Jimmy D. Stoey ofShippensburg; one grandchild, seven step-grandchildren; two step-greatgrandsons; and two brothers: Kevin T. Hancock of Shippensburg and Ted R. Hancock of Danville. He was preceded in death by one sister, Pamela Landis. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 3 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, with Reverend David Fidati officiating. Interment will be in Park Lawn Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, NC 44720.
