Diana Mae Speelman

Diana Mae Speelman, age 70 of Gardners, passed away April 11, 2026 at Mount Joy Hospice House. She was born June 3, 1955 in Gettysburg to the late John Robert and Sylvia Lee (Pritt) Altice. Diana was widowed by her husband, Richard J. Speelman I. She loved her plants and her pets, enjoyed going camping and collecting native American items and loved country music, especially Alan Jackson.

She is survived by her son, Richard J. Speelman II and significant other, Jennifer of Biglerville; daughter, Nancy M. Emig and husband, John of York Springs; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and siblings, Robert Altice and wife, Theresa of North Carolina, Peggy Richards and husband, Russell of New Oxford, Sharon Chapman and husband, Fred of Gettysburg, Tammy Koontz and husband, Donnie of Gettysburg and Loretta Ellis of Gardners. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.Diana was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald “Boo” Altice.
