Diane D. Fetters, age 79 of Gardners, passed away September 27, 2025 at home. She was born June 13, 1946 in York to the late James and Patricia (Myers) Doyle. Diane was a school teacher for Upper Adams School District for many years.
She was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. She was very artsy and crafty having made many different dolls for ailments and even made “Cancer Babes” for cancer patients and even inspirational cards and tags. Diane always had to be doing something and learning new ways to express her artful side. She dabbled in calligraphy, painting and some photography.
Diane is survived by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth Fetters; son, Clark “Linc” Fetters and wife, Jeanette of Arendtsville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Michael Doyle and wife, Ellen of Boulder, CO, Gary Hurda of Washington, DC, Chris Hurda of Utah, Greg Hurda and wife, Sally of Bendersville and William Shoemaker of New Oxford and sister, Kathy Smith of Lake Heritage. She was preceded in death by her sons, Theodore Fetters and Andrew Fish and brother, Donald Hurda.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 111 S. Main Street Bendersville, where friends will be received on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:00am at the funeral home. Pastor David Deatrich will officiate the funeral.
