Diane Marie Stapleton

Diane “Sis” Marie Stapleton, age 69, of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023 surrounded with her family at her home. She was born January 3, 1954 in Gettysburg, as the daughter of the late John B. and Dorothy L. (Wingert) Kump.

Diane graduated in the Class of 1970 from Gettysburg High School. She retired after working as the deli clerk at Kennie’s Market in Gettysburg. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of Heidlersburg Fire Company. In her spare time, Diane enjoyed cooking.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Roy L. Stapleton of Gettysburg; daughter, Lianne M. Hauf and her husband John of Arendtsville; son, Troy D. Stapleton of Gettysburg and two grandchildren, Cheyenne Hauf and Bruce Hauf. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Gary, Mike and John Kump.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, PA 17306, with Father Stephen Kelley officiating. A Public Viewing will be from 11:00 AM until the time of services. A Procession to Heidlersburg Cemetery will follow the services.
