Dixie L. Dejesus

Dixie Lorraine DeJesus, age 55, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013 in the presence of her family. Born on November 19, 1957 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances Brandt Myers. A 1975 graduate of Boiling Springs High School, Dixie worked for several years for the Federal Communication Commission in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania as well as being a homemaker and outstanding mother to her two children. Dixie was the beloved wife of Angel DeJesus Jr. for over 37 wonderful years and is also survived by her children, Jeremy L. (and wife, Mindy) DeJesus and Jennifer M. (and husband, Christopher) Hare. Dixie was adored by many and left behind a legacy of love, honesty, and kindness. She was fortunate enough to have many siblings, to include a sister, Michele Redding,a brother, Brian Myersand sister in-laws Ann Cassel, Alleese Tuscan, Ragena McCauslin, and Crystal Hammer, as well as brother in-laws, Jesse DeJesus, Kasey DeJesus and Kyle DeJesus. Dixie was the center of her grandchildren's (Sean, Makaylah, Ella, and Gibson) world. Her dedication and care for them is a shining example of how a grandmother should be. Her presence will be missed but her legacy will live on forever. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 6, from 1:00to 3:00 PMat Christ Community Church, 1201 Slate Hill Road, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011.
