Dolly J. Woods, 77, formerly of Bluffton, SC, passed away peacefully on February 18 at Green Ridge Village in Newville, PA with her daughters by her side. Dolly was born on November 18, 1936 in Long Beach, CA. She is the daughter of the late William N.A. Houser and the late Jennie Weeks Houser. Dolly was the loving wife of 54 years to the late George Charles Woods Jr. She is survived by daughters, Kerry McCleaf and husband Brett of Aspers, PA and Tracey Cryder of Mechanicsburg, PA and sister, Edna Lucas and husband John of Macungie, PA. Dolly leaves a legacy to her three grandsons, Ryan Bruetsch, Kyle McCleaf and Derek McCleaf. Dolly graduated from Mastbaum Vocational Technical School in 1954 in Philadelphia, PA. She pursued a career in banking and bookkeeping. Dolly had a passion for interior design which led to the opening of her own business, The Strawberry Attic, which she operated for 13 years. Dolly and George enjoyed traveling. Their favorite destination was Ireland, but their real joy was spending their last 11 years of retirement in Bluffton, SC. A memorial service will be held at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2595 Interstate Drive- Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
