Dolores G. Donnell

Dolores G. Donnell, age 85 of Cape May Court House, New Jersey, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Brookdale Senior Living. She was born Saturday, August 9, 1930 in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Eugene A. and Dolores T. (Gaughan) Griffin. Dolores was one of the first female graduates from Villanova University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She also received her Master's Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of Birth Right and Newcomers Club of Carlisle. Her husband, Garrett E. Donnell, MD passed away August 22, 2003. She is survived by two daughters, Miriam (Mia) Donnell of Stone Harbor, NJ, Megan and husband John Swope of Dillsburg, two grandsons Mark and Michael Swope, one sister, Ann Griffin of Accident, MD, and a brother, John Griffin of Northport, FL. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jeanne Griffin and Sally D'Alonzo. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 24 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 87 Marsh Drive, Carlisle with Very Reverend William C. Forrey officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday at the church from 1:00 PM until time of services.
