Dolores Kmetz

Dolores Kmetz, age 83 of York Springs, passed away August 19, 2026 at home, with her husband and son by her side. Born December 15, 1942 in Garfield, NJ to the late Peter and Mary (Tatler) Mulder. Dolores graduated from Garfield High School in 1961.

Dolores married John K. Kmetz on May 31, 1964. Together with her husband, she started a business in 1965 called, The Sub Base and made submarine sandwiches. In 1970, she and her husband started a business called John’s Catering. In 1980, they moved to Pennsylvania and she worked in the cafeteria for Bermudian Springs School District and helped her husband with York Springs Video and Tanning business and Kmetz Self Storage.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John K. Kmetz; son, John P. Kmetz and grandson, Kolby Kmetz, all of York Springs. Dolores was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Kozell and brother, Jim Mulder.
