Donald L. Irvin

Donald L. Irvin, age 65 of Biglerville, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at his home. He was born Wednesday, November 8, 1950 in Gettysburg the son of the late Lottie Mae (Baker) Irvin. Donald graduated from Biglerville High School in 1969. He was formerly employed by Upper Adams School District for 26 years, where he worked in the maintenance and grounds keeping department. He was a life member of Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville and Arendtsville Fire Company. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Deborah A. (Tuckey) Irvin. He is also survived by a daughter, Shannon R. and husband Howard Butler of Elizabethtown, a son, Wesley D. Irvin of Biglerville, two granddaughters, Kayleigh and Natalie Butler, three sisters, Nellie Beamer of South Mountain, Carolynn Carey of Aspers and Brenda Kump of New Cumberland, two brothers, Robert Irvin of York Springs and Jacob Irvin of Gardners. He was preceded in death by sister Joanne Frey. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 27 at Wenksville United Methodist Church, 2010 Wenksville Road, Biglerville with Reverend Rick Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of services.
