Donald Harold Rhine

Donald “Don” Harold Rhine, age 74, of Newburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital - Camp Hill. He was born February 11, 1949 in Perulack, PA, as the son of the late Kenneth Clair Rhine and Margaret Mildred Elizabeth (Garret) Rhine.

Donald attended Chambersburg High School and is a member of the Class of 1969. Don was known by his family as being a “Jack of all trades” for the construction work he did throughout his life. He was a member of Hub City Social Club in Shippensburg, P-Boys Hunting Club in Roxbury and an honorary member of Lee Hall Boys Club in Newport News, Virginia. In his spare time, Don enjoyed hunting, wood-working, walking on the beach looking for sand dollars and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Stasia Rhea (Zeigler) Rhine of Newburg; daughter, Angela Price; two sons, Devin R. Rhine and his wife, Lyndsay and Drew R. Rhine and his wife, Kali, both of Newburg; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Rhine of Shippensburg; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Palmer K. Rhine and his wife, Bev of Chambersburg, Ray W. Rhine and his wife, Patty of Upper Strasburg and his twin, Ronald D. Rhine and his wife, Reube of Sugar Grove, WV and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his two sons, Donald Herr and Daryl R. Rhine and two sisters, Delores Miller and Judy B. Hockenberry.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg with Pastor Philip Steele officiating. A Public Viewing will take place from 12:00 PM until the time of services. A Private Family Graveside will take place following the service.
