Donald William Rhone

Donald William “Bucky” Rhone, age 83 of Shippensburg, passed away December 28, 2025 at home. He was born April 27, 1942 in Shippensburg to the late Harry A. and Anna M. (Perry) Rhone.

He was a member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168 in Shippensburg, where he was a bartender for over 30 years, enjoyed helping the Amish by driving them to doctors appointments and hunting. Donald loved the outdoors and exploring, being around people and playing poker with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Elaine (Starliper) Rhone, who he celebrated 42 years of marriage to on December 23, 2025; daughter, Sandra May Farrow and husband, Justin; step-son, Jason Ray Starliper of Florida; grandchildren, Xander, Fiona and Oliver and brother, Leroy Rhone of Shippensburg. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Bill Starliper and sisters-in-law, Patrica Hynes, Pamela Lee and Paula Hall. He was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
