Donald George Shaffer

Donald G. Shaffer, 91, of Biglerville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Wellspan Gettysburg Hospital. Born on February 22, 1935 in Fairfield, he was the son of the late Luther Shaffer and Margaret (Mickley) Shaffer.

Donald is survived by three children, Kathy Morrow, Wayne Shaffer and Kay Redding and husband, Donald, all of Biglerville; six grandchildren, Matthew Morrow and wife, Jen, Micah Morrow and wife, Bekah, Aimee Worth and husband, Cameron, Michael Shaffer and significant other, Christina, Ryan Shaffer and wife, April and Cody Redding; 13 great-grandchildren, Bentley, Abby, Micah, Malachi, Annabelle, Sophie, Issac, Paisleigh, Raegan, Saidie, Dylan, Caleb, Aubrey; brothers, David Shaffer, John Shaffer, Randy Shaffer, William “Bill” Shaffer; sisters, Shelby Feaster, Maryann Dickinson, Sandy Harmon, and Linda Thomas. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Shaffer; three brothers, Fred Shaffer, James “Mick” Shaffer, and Jay Shaffer.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, where a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of the memorial service. Pastor Garry Sheaffer will officiate the service.
