Donald L. Wagaman, II, age 84 of Chambersburg, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at Menno Haven. He was born Monday, September 24, 1934 in Chambersburg, the son of the late Donald L., Sr. and Lillian J. (Geyer) Wagaman. Donald graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 1953. He earned his AA in Drafting from Penn State University at York in 1959. He was first employed by Sprout Waldron and Company in Williamsport and returned to Chambersburg in 1964. He went to work for T.B. Woods, Grove Manufacturing and then retired from Volvo, formerly Ingersoll Rand. He was a member of King St. United Brethren Church in Chambersburg, and the New Life Sunday School Class. He was past president and member of Path Valley Lions Club, a life member of the NRA, and a member of American Legion Post 46 of Chambersburg. He loved Path Valley and always called it home. He truly enjoyed the beautiful mountains and therefore became a great hunter having hunted many parts of Pennsylvania and Canada. He raised registered beagles for hunting. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and visited all the 50 states and parts of Canada. They spent 12 winters in Florida. They had the extreme privilege of visiting and touring the Holy Land. He served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1958 having served on the USS McCoy Reynolds for two years at Pearl Harbor and Hawaiian Islands during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Murray) Wagaman, whom he married January 24, 1959 in Doylesburg United Methodist Church. He is also survived by his daughter, Beth W. and husband Chris Burgess of Chambersburg, granddaughter Ella and husband John Heeter of Chambersburg, grandson Ean and wife Shelby Starr of Shippensburg. great-grandchildren, Levi and Sarah Starr and Rodney Heeter, step-grandchildren, Jessica and James Burgess, step-great-grandson Cameron Wyand, a sister, Juanita W. Manley of Cranberry Twp., and several nieces and nephews. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 25, at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg with Rev. Ronald Cook and Rev. Marlin "Butch" Neil officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of services. Interment with military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #223 in Upper Path Valley Cemetery.
