Doris E. Aldinger

Doris E. Aldinger, age 88 of York Springs, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at her home. She was born Monday, June 3, 1929 in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Ernest E. and Beulah M. (Kiefer) Wishard. Doris graduated from Biglerville High School in 1947. She and her late husband Philip managed Bermudian Lanes Bowling Alley for years. They also managed and operated Wishard's Motel and Cottages and Restaurant. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Arendtsville. She was also a member of the American Legion in Dillsburg and Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 Auxiliary in Biglerville. Her husband Philip C. Aldinger, Sr. passed away August 28, 2008. She is survived by two sons, Philip C. and wife Deborah Aldinger, Jr. of Waxhaw, NC, Lynn E. and wife Lorianne Aldinger of Dillsburg, three grandchildren, Bridgette Ringer, Brandon Aldinger and Lauren Steele and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Howard Wishard. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Zion United Church of Christ, 3 Gettysburg Street, Arendtsville with Reverend Doctor Kim Blocher officiating. Interment will be at 9:30 AM in Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until time of services.
