Doris J. Bard

Doris J. Bard, age 73, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her home. She was born Monday, March 8, 1943 in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Harry Floyd and Mildred Cline (Ocker) Bard. Doris graduated from Shippensburg High School in 1961. She was employed by Stanley Manufacturing for 36 years. She has also worked at Excelsior, Penn Hall and retired from Franklin Clothing in Shippensburg. She was a member of Shippensburg First Church of God. She was a reunion committee member of her Class of 1961. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Penn State Football. Dale Earnhardt, Sr. was her favorite NASCAR driver. She is survived by one son, Bradley S. and wife Kathy Jo M. Bard of Chambersburg, and grandson Jaren B. Bard. She is also survived by three sisters, Nancy and husband George Fritz of Shippensburg, Judy Eichelberger of Shippensburg, Susan Bricker of Chambersburg, six brothers, Harold Bard of Orrstown, Donald and wife Donna Bard of Chambersburg, Kenneth and wife Shelley Bard of Shippensburg, Richard and wife Connie Bard of Shippensburg, Jeffrey Bard of Rehoboth, DE, David Bard of Biglerville, many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 3 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg with Pastor Jim Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Parklawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home.
