Doris Cashman

Doris Cashman, age 90 of Aspers, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born Monday, December 19, 1927 in West Manheim, a daughter of the late Clitus E. and Hilda E. (Krumrine) Meckley. She worked as a caregiver providing long term care to many in the area. She was a member of the Grace Bible Chapel in Gardners. Doris loved to plant and watch the flowers grow in her backyard. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Keith C. Cashman (Kathy) of Gardners, Linda E. Smyers (Steve) of Gardners and Seth A. Cashman (Diana) of Lewisberry, grandsons, Brandon and Chad Smyers, great-grandchildren, Tyler, Mason, Garrison, Brantley, Branson and Axton. She is also survived by her brothers, Sonny Meckley and Earl Meckley, sisters, Helena Miller and Charlotte Dubbs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Cashman, Jr. (1981), siblings, Elwood, Glenn, Sterill, Gladys and Ruthanna. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 30 at Grace Bible Chapel, Gardners with Pastor Matt Jury officiating. Interment will be in Biglerville Cemetery.
