Doris E. (Bere) Lucabaugh, York Springs, PA

Doris E. (Bere) Lucabaugh, 89, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Tree of Life Personal Care Home in Hanover, PA. She was born Sunday, March 28, 1937, the daughter of the late Ralph E. Bere and Emma E. (Slaybaugh) Bere of York Springs, PA.

Doris graduated from Biglerville High School in 1955. She retired from Bell Phone Company in Harrisburg, PA after many years of service. She was a member of Benders Evangelical Lutheran Church and loved to volunteer her time at SpiriTrust Home in Gettysburg with her late husband D. Laverne "Lucky" Lucabaugh. Doris was an avid Bowler, and a die-hard New York Yankee's Fan.

She is survived by Lucky's children, Dean W. Lucabaugh of Hanover., Wayne F. Lucabaugh of Hanover, Mitchell J. Lucabaugh, and Melissa K. Kisner, Bloomsburg; and Lucky's grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, D. Laverne "Lucky" Lucabaugh, who passed away January 25, 2017.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 111 S. Main St. in Bendersville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Benders Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1385 Rentzel Rd., Biglerville, with Rev. Ryan Heycock officiating. Interment will be held in Benders Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.

A meal will be provided at the church following the burial.
