Doris E. Parshall

Doris E. Parshall, age 92, of Chambersburg, formerly of Guilderland, NY and Shippensburg, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Menno Haven Rehab. She was born Sunday, August 18, 1929 in Minden, NY, the daughter of the late George W. and Mary M. (Kretser) Richards. Doris graduated from St. Johnsville High School in New York. She earned her Associate's Degree from Cobleskill Technical College, now SUNY Cobleskill. She was formerly employed by the New York Dept. of Labor for 30 years. She was a member of Shippensburg Historical Society, Order of the Eastern Star, and Senior Citizens at Southampton Place. Her husband, Albert E. Parshall, passed away in 2017. She is survived by one daughter, Vickie A. Parshall of Chambersburg, one son, Earl G. and wife Eddy Parshall of Newville, granddaughter, Vicki Marie and husband Martin Lincoln of Kansas City, KS, several nieces and nephews, several step-grand and great-grandchildren. She is the last of the Richards family. Doris was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christina Reynolds. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 17, at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory with Chaplain Steve Barnett officiating. Graveside service and burial will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Memory Gardens (Good Shepard), 983 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Albany, NY, with Chaplain Claudia Meyer officiating. Order of the Eastern Star services will be held prior to the service. There will be a luncheon gathering for family and friends immediately following from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at The Backroom at O’Toole’s Restaurant Pub, 1814 Central Avenue, Albany, NY 12205.
