Doris M. Stephens

Doris Marie Stephens, age 96, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Elmcroft of Shippensburg. She was born February 10, 1925 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Jerimiah Brandt, Sr. and Emma (Hoare) Brandt. She was a great duckpin bowler in her time and owned the Sykesville Bowling Center in Maryland for 10 years with her husband. She is survived by two daughters, Marie (Arthur) Boone of Fayetteville, and June (Denney) Dawson of Washington; one grandson, Wayne (Wanda) Dawson of Oregon; and one great-granddaughter, Isabelle Dawson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 70 years, Clyde Stephens; and four brothers. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper, Drive, Shippensburg. Interment will be private in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.
