Dorothy J. Crusey-Heckman

Dorothy J. Crusey-Heckman, age 85, of Shippensburg, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021, at Shippensburg Healthcare Center. She was born April 18, 1935, in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late John and Pearl Edna (Warren) Hancock. Dorothy enjoyed working in the kitchen with her daughter during bingo at the Shippensburg Firefighters Activities Center. She recycled bottle caps by crocheting them into kitchen hot pads which she enjoyed gifting. When she was living at her home, she shared her love with five cats. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Danny) Byers of Shippensburg; three sons, Walter Crusey of Shippensburg, William (Pam) Crusey of Alabama, and Robert Crusey of Shippensburg; two sisters, Pearl Schneider and Catherine Hancock; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her spouses, Paul Crusey and George Heckman; two sons, Paul and Mark Crusey; granddaughter, Natasha Crusey, and 11 siblings. Professional Services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Services are at the discretion of the family.
