Dorothy N. "Deanie" Long

Dorothy N. “Deanie” Long, age 83, passed away on Saturday March 16, 2024 at Chambersburg Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 6, 1940 in Chambersburg, PA. She was the daughter of the late Edward Bennett and Martha R. (Funk) Wolff.

Deanie worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, including an administrative position with State Farm in Chambersburg. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother who will be loved and dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children Dr. Tricia A. Kelly (Stephen Flowers) of Allentown, PA; Delores Eden of Carlisle, PA; and Kenneth E. Long of Mont Alto, PA; grandchildren, A.C. Kelly of Allentown, PA; Christopher Long of Shippensburg, PA; Patrick Long of Hanover, PA; Caitlin Newill of Chambersburg, PA; Aaron Binner of Hanover, PA; and her step-grandson, Caiden Flowers of Bangor, PA. Additionally, she is survived by her nieces and nephews, Cheryl Jones, Roger Jones Jr., Lorrie Harglerode, Dennis Jones and Mark Jones along with many other nieces and nephews through her marriage to the late Donald H. Long. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Michael Long and Donny Ray Long, her brother Bennett Wolff, and her sister Bonita L. Jones.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive Shippensburg. A Viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM with a Celebration of Life Service in honor of Deanie to begin at 10:30 AM. A Reception for family and friends will follow immediately after the service at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held after the reception at Parklawns Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, 3218 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg.
