Dorothy M. Moose

Dorothy Louise Moose, age 80 of Aspers, died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at her home. Dorothy was born Friday, January 29, 1932 in Fairfield, the daughter of the late Earl and Clara (Kittinger) Mickley. Dorothy was formerly employed by Adams Electric in Gettysburg, serving in the billing department for many years. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Goodyear. Her husband, to whom she was married for 36 years, John D. Moose, died February 5, 2012. She is survived by three daughters: Donna Kuhn of Aspers, Pam and husband Ron Hewitt of Gardners, Karen and husband Gary Aldinger of Gardners; two sons: Scott and wife Jeanette of York Springs and Roger Bolen of Gardners; a sister, Carrie Wampler of Aspers and a brother John Mickley of Biglerville. Her sister, Mary Cool preceded her in death, as did her brothers, Jay and Ken Mickley. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 25 at Dugan Funeral Home, with Chaplain Dan S. Summers officiating. Interment will be in Goodyear Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Home Care Hospice, 260 W. High Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
