Dorothy M. Negley

Dorothy M. Negley, age 87, of Newville, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at her home. She was born Monday, September 22, 1937 in Shippensburg, the daughter of the late Lester D. and Minnie C. (Bistline) Jacoby.

Dot graduated from Newville High School in 1955. She was formerly employed by Green Ridge Village for several years. She was a member of the Cumberland County Farm Women Group 18, where she served as president several times. Her family was her entire life.

Her Husband, Harry M. Negley passed away in 1990. She is survived by her daughters; Karen L. and husband Carl Erdman of Carlisle, Connie S. and husband Ken Kerstetter of Newville; a son, Gary L. and wife, Donna Negley of Newville; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Jane Wickard of Carlisle, Nancy Capshaw of Carlisle, and three brothers, William Jacoby of Boiling Springs, Carroll "Hank" Jacoby of Shippensburg and Ray Jacoby of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cathy M. Dugan, two sons, Dennis M. and Edward H. Negley, and her brother Gary L. Hoyaux.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Keith Gutshall officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A Viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of services. Friends may express their online condolences at DuganFH.com.
