Douglas A. Sell

Douglas A. Sell, age 53 of Biglerville, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. He was born Tuesday, August 30, 1960 in Gettysburg, the son of John S. Sell of Biglerville and the late Betty L. (Spivey) Sell. Douglas graduated from Biglerville High School in 1978. He was formerly employed by Knouse Foods, Peach Glen as a maintenance manager for 3 years. He had been previously employed by Dal-Tile in Gettysburg for 28 years. He was a member of Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville, Eagles of Gettysburg and H.O.G. Doug enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He served in the Air Force from 1978 to 1979. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Brenda L. (Thomas) Sell. He is also survived by a daughter, Amanda L. and husband Dave Wisner of Lake Ariel; a son, Dale A. and wife Christine Sell of Milford and four grandchildren, Isabelle and Grace Wisner and Christian and Jillian Sell. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 26 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38 N. High Street, Arendtsville with Pastor Martin Young officiating.
