Dr. Elnetta G. Jones

Dr. Elnetta G. Jones, age 81 of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Shippensburg. She was born Saturday, July 7, 1934 in Mullins, SC the daughter of the late Taft and Ida Griffin. Elnetta graduated from Palmetto High School in South Carolina and furthered her education by graduating with a Doctorate from American University. She was employed by Shippensburg University as Dean of Special Academic Services. She was a former member of the board of trustees for Shippensburg University. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Aaron M. Jones, a son, Aaron Daryl Jones, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. A viewing will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, April 11 at the funeral home. Funeral services will continue at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Mullins South Carolina.
