E. Maybelle Finfrock

E. Maybelle Finfrock, age 97 of Newville, formerly of Gardners, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born Monday, July 29, 1918, in Somerset, PA, the daughter of the late Edwardand Mary(Weikert) Kroushour. Maybelle graduated from Gettysburg High School. She worked as a baker at Jane's Market and retired at age 86. Maybelle had previously cooked at Tagg Run Restaurant in Gardners, Maybelle Bucher's Restaurant in Bendersville and Thompson's Restaurant in Aspers. She had also worked at Carroll Shoe Factory in Arendtsville. She was a member of Centenary UnitedMethodist Church in Biglerville. Her husband, Fred Finfrock Sr. passed away in 1986. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou Eckert of Dillsburg, a son, Fred Finfrock, Jr. and wife Sandy of Longs, SC; daughter-in-law Jean Finfrock of Biglerville, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a son Bill Finfrock, grandson Troy Eckert, three sisters Betty Leonard, Verna Chronister, Ruth Kroushour and two brothers Lloyd and Merle Kroushour. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home Inc, 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 9 at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Fanus officiating. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 1:30 PM until time of services.
