Earl F. "Skeeze" Hostetter, Sr., age 79, of York Springs, died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his home. He was born Saturday, May 9, 1936 in Newport, the son of the late Homer and Addiemae (Richardson) Hostetter. Earl was a Penndot supervisor for 28 years. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Aspers. He was an avid hunter. He enjoyed hunting out-west with his sons and would take his camper with his sons, friends, grandsons and brother to West Virginia for a weeklong trip every year. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Charlotte (McBee) Hostetter. He is also survived by his daughter, Tammy Strickhouser of York Springs; a son, Earl F. Hostetter, Jr. of Gardners, and their spouses Richard Strickhouser and Pam Hostetter respectively; nine grandchildren, Chuck Hostetter, Jr., Eric Hostetter, Katie Hostetter, Christal Hostetter, Angie Mohan, Megan Agapis, Earl Strickhouser, Ty Strickhouser and Chelsea Strickhouser; 11 great-grandchildren, Emma, Krista, Brooke, Anavis, Drevan, Trenton, Haley, Jazmin, Moriah and Alexis; four sisters, Betty Henry of Aspers, Connie Altice of Gardners, Joan Miller of Tarentum, Arletta Bream of Gettysburg, and one brother-in-law, Richard McBee. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles A. Hostetter and brother, Harold "Jack" Hostetter. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 22, at 1:00 PM at Christ Lutheran Church, 1420 Center Mills Road, Aspers with Reverend Laura Haupt officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville.
