Earl William Zook

Earl William Zook, age 88, of Chambersburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born February 2, 1936 in Chambersburg, as the son of the late Arthur C. and Anna Mary (Knoll) Zook.

Earl graduated in the Class of 1954 from Chambersburg High School. He went on to proudly serve for six years in the U.S. Army during Peace Time. Earl retired from J. Schoenamon, The Stanley Company, after working in the shipping and receiving department for over 30 years. He was a member of Chambersburg Bible Church and Franklin County Historical Society Kittochtinny. In his spare time, Earl enjoyed genealogy and watching western movies. Earl was known as an avid reader and dedicated Republican.

Earl is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ruth A. (Dangler) Zook of Chambersburg; three sons, Randall Earl Zook and his wife, Jeanine, Brian Keith Zook and his wife, Rhonda and Kevin Ray Zook and his wife, Tammy, all of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren, Nathan Zook, Lauren McGwin, Jonathan Zook, Bryton Zook, Bria Zook, Hannah Zook and Kaeden Zook; one great-grandson, Noah Zook and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his grandson, Bryson Zook, four sisters, Ruth Fadenrecht, Dorothy Glick, Beulah Wiser and Verda Kipe and three brothers, A. Leroy Zook, Paul K. Zook and Mervin D. Zook.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Chambersburg Bible Church, 810 Orchard Drive Chambersburg, PA 17201, with Pastor David Mummert officiating. A Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM until the time of services. A Reception will follow services at the Chambersburg Bible Church.
