Edgar F. Huffner

Edgar F. Huffner, age 96, of Shippensburg, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born November 5, 1926 in Queens, NY to the late Fredrick W. and Marie (McCarron) Huffner.

Edgar was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII. He was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Church, Shippensburg and Our Lady of the Visitation Knights of Columbus Council #12551 and also a 4th Degree member of the Assembly #924.

Surviving is his wife, Roberta I. (Johnson) Huffner; daughter, Berenice Huffner and her husband, Warren Brown, son, Michael Huffner and his wife, Jennifer; four grandchildren: Emily Brown-Umosella and her husband, Nicholas, Elaine Brown and her fiancé, Gregory Porter, Taylor Huffner and Justin Huffner and one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Umosella. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas Huffner.

Professional Services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Friends are invited to a Visitation on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 1:00 -2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Visitation Church, 305 N. Prince Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Following Visitation, a Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 PM at the church with Reverend Father Benjamin Dunkelberger officiating. Burial will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA at a future date at the discretion of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Edgar to Our Lady of the Visitation Church, 305 N. Prince Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
