Edna E. Haker

Edna E. (Lawver) Haker, age 95 of York, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at York Hospital. She was born Friday, March 26, 1920 in Biglerville the daughter of the late Jacob C. and Faye M. (Slaybaugh) Lawver. Edna graduated from Biglerville High School in 1937. She was formerly employed by Teledyne Corp. in York for many years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Biglerville and Viking Club of York. She was the oldest living charter member of the Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 Auxiliary. Her husband, Richard C. Haker passed in 2001. She is survived by her companion, Roger Luckenbaugh of York, a brother, Edward Lawver of Chalfonte and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, John Lawver, Sr. and sister, Shirlie M. Little. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 30, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 25 Franklin Street, Biglerville with Reverend Ben Seibert officiating. Interment will be in Biglerville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00AMuntil time of services.
