Edna V. Mindte

Edna V. Mindte, age 62, of Clarksburg, MD and Bendersville, PA died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Montgomery Hospice in Rockville, MD. She was born Sunday, November 28, 1948 in Tazewell, VA the daughter of the late Homer and Nellie M. (Davis) Wingo. Edna operated a cleaning service in the Rockville area for many years. She is survived by her husband Jon C. Mindte to whom she was married for 47 years. She is also survived by two sons: Jon W. Mindte, Gaithersburg, MD and Bryan A. Mindte, Clarksburg, MD andtwo sisters: Kathy R. Landwehr, Gaithersburg, MD, Shirley J. Christian, Tazewell, VA; three brothers: Gordon E. Wingo, Bluefield, VA, Homer P. Wingo, West Virginia and George W. Wingo, Rockville, MD; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas W. Mindte, a sister, Mary J. Carter and a brother, Clyde T. Wingo. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A Celebration of Edna's Life will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, July 10 at the Greenridge Baptist Church, 21925 Frederick Road, Boyds, MD 20841with the Reverend Tim Simpson and Reverend Carl Harris officiating. Interment will be in Tazewell, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Roeder Road, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
