Edusei Amoako-Atta, age 67, originally of Kumasi, Ghana, went to be with the lord Wednesday morning, August 4, 2021 at home with his family in Shippensburg. He was born August 1, 1954 in Accra, Ghana as the son of the late Samuel Amoako-Atta and Nana Apeatua, Queen mother of Akyem Asunafo, a.k.a., Mrs. Janet Amoako-Atta. Edusei worked as a certified nurse assistant for NMS Healthcare in Hagerstown, Maryland for 10 years. He was a strong member of the Oasis of Love Church in Shippensburg. Edusei was known for his selflessness, his strong and lively personality, excellent cooking and baking, and his strong faith in the Lord. Edusei is survived by his loving wife with whom he was with for 19 years and who he married in 2015, Yolanda Amoako-Atta of Shippensburg; three sons, Samuel Amoako-Atta of Shippensburg, Daniel Amoako-Atta and Paul Amoako-Atta, two daughters, Christina Amoako-Atta of Shippensburg and Elizabeth Amoako-Atta; two brothers, Dr. Samuel Amoako-Atta and Andrew Amoako-Atta and three sisters, Matilda Amoako-Atta, Regina Amoako-Atta, and Lorraine Priscilla Rodney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Boakye Amoako-Atta, who passed in October 2018. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, August 15, at 2:00 PM at Oasis of Love Church, 303 S. Washington St., Shippensburg, PA 17257, with Pastor Nancy A. Hudson officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Edusei’s memory to Oasis Church of Love, c/o, Oasis International Training Center, Box 38, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
