Eleanor L. Rhone

Eleanor L. Rhone, age 87 of Chambersburg, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Menno Haven. She was born Thursday, November 20, 1924 in Newville, the daughter of the late Guy and Florence (Zeigler) Loy. Eleanor was a member ofMiddle Spring Presbyterian Church in Shippensburg.She was a loving wife and mother whose warmth and care extended beyond her biological family to envelop the foreign exchange students that became part of her family. Their relations continued throughout her life. She was predeceased by her son, Daniel L. Rhone in 2007. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 64 years, David H. Rhone.She is also survived by two grandchildren, Bryan Rhone and Lisa McHugh; one great-grandchild, three sisters: Martha Book of New Castle, DE, Jane Fickes of Titusville, FL, and Amy Mowery of Pottstown; and two brothers: Edgar Loy of Mechanicsburg and Wallace Loy of Carlisle. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg.Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, June 17, at Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, 135 Middle Spring Road, Shippensburg with Reverends Kim and Derek Wadlington officiating. Interment will be in Middle Spring Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held in the church on Sunday from 1:00 PM until time of services.
