Eleanor Marie (Starner) Tuckey, 91, peacefully entered God's Kingdom on Friday morning, March 4, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, PA. Born August 1, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Mae (Black) and Edward Solomon Starner of Goodyear, PA. She was the widow of the late Cameron Charles Tuckey. She is survived by her son, Clay Chester Tuckey, Sr. and his wife, Wilma of Biglerville and her daughter, Susan Marie Haine and her husband, Dean of Lebanon; six grandchildren: Clay Chester Tuckey, Jr., Wayne Edward Tuckey, Craig Allen Tuckey, Bruce Eric Tuckey, Kevin Charles Tuckey (Barbara) and Kristine Marie Merchant (Christopher): and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason David Tuckey. A longtime resident of Biglerville, Eleanor was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she had been active in the Women's Quilting Circle. She had lived at the Country Meadows Retirement Community, Hershey, PA from 1998 to 2008 and Cornwall Manor, Cornwall, PA from 2008 until her death. She loved to garden, cook for her family and friends, crochet, play bingo and read her Bible. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 11 at 12 noon at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 South Main Street, Bendersville with Reverend Rick Hostetter officiating.Interment will follow in Biglerville Cemetery. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 AM until time of service. A reception will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church immediately following interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 25 Franklin Street, Biglerville, PA 17307.
