Ellen A. Sourbeer

Ellen A. Sourbeer, age 89 of Carlisle, formerly of Gardners, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Forest Park Nursing and Rehab in Carlisle. She was born Sunday, January 2, 1927 in Enola the daughter of the late Jacob E.D. and Catherine F. (Gerhart) Smith. Ellen was formerly employed by Knouse Foods, Peach Glen for many years. She was a member of Idaville United Methodist Church. Her husband, John A. Sourbeer passed in 2005. She is survived by one daughter, Sharon K. Donmoyer of Steelton, two granddaughters, Lisa Hoffman, Michelle Brands and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Judy A. Dyarman. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 26 at the funeral home with Reverend Gary Fanus officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services.
