Elmer S. Fisher

Elmer S. Fisher, age 76 of Orrstown, passed away peacefully at the home farm on Saturday, April 6, 2024. He was the son of the late Gideon and Hannah Fisher and husband of Lydia Kauffman Fisher. He was the founder of Lurgan Greenhouse, where he resided until his death. He was a member of the OOA Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children, Jason, married to Fannie Blank of New York, Mamie, married to Levi King of Orrstown, Hannah, married to Jesse King of Shippensburg, Priscilla, married to Matthew Fisher of New York, Reuben, married to Linda Fisher of Orrstown, Emanuel, married to Sara Catherine Esh of Orrstown and Miriam, married to Daniel Esh of Newburg; 59 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Gideon Fisher, husband of Arie Peachey; sisters, Emma Fisher Stoltzfus, wife of the late Christ Stoltzfus and Sarah, wife of Christ Stoltzfus and sister-in-law, Ruth Stoltzfus Fisher. Elmer was preceded in death by three siblings, Amos Fisher, Katie Stoltzfus and David Fisher.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg.
