Elwood W. Carbaugh

Elwood W. Carbaugh, age 90 of Shippensburg, passed away December 9, 2024 at Shippensburg Health and Rehabilitation. He was born November 10, 1934 in Chambersburg to the late Scott and Annie (Fortney) Carbaugh. He was a self-employed carpenter and member of Bethel Assembly of God in Chambersburg.

Elwood is survived by his wife of 39 years, Vivian A. (Leighton) Carbaugh of Shippensburg; sons, Kenneth L. Carbaugh and wife, Sherry of Newburg and Stephen M. Carbaugh of Spring Run; grandchildren, Daniel Carbaugh and friend, Tedra, Stephanie Fleisher and husband, Corey, Curtis Carbaugh and wife, Angela and Kelli Lozenski and husband, Jerrid; great-grandchildren, Kayla Koser and husband, Andrew, Kassidy Carbaugh and friend, Naz, Iyasan Fleisher, Ayhana Fleisher, Kylah Fleisher, Kalen Fleisher, Luke Lozenski and Brynlee Carbaugh; great-great grandchildren, Raegan Koser and Waylon Koser and step-grandson Jerrid Lozenski, Jr.. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Barbara Ann Carbaugh, who passed away December 1984; brothers, Howard, Dave, Robert and Marvin Carbaugh and sisters, Thelma Beeler, Gladys Carbaugh, Janet Hock, Helen Burkholder and Mabel Peiffer.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. At Elwood’s request, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 11:00am at Bethel Assembly of God, 400 Miller Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Rev. Aaron Lawrence will officiate the service.
