Emma Loretta Linah

Emma Loretta (Kennedy) Linah, age 95 of Gettysburg, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born Saturday, March 24, 1917 in Huntingdon Township, Adams County, the daughter of the late William H. and Lulu E. (Fidler) Kennedy. Emma was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Heidlersburg, Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine. Her Husband of 62 years, Hugh L. Linah passed away in 2001. She is survived by a daughter, Jean C. (Linah) Jacoby of Dillsburg; two granddaughters: Melissa L. Thomas of Dillsburg and Nancy J. Jacoby of Chowchilla, CA; and one grandson, Gregory L. Jacoby and one great-grandson Koen J. Thomas, both of Dillsburg. She was preceded in death by her sister, Myrtle I. Cromer and her brother, David J. Kennedy. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 15 at 11:00 AM at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend David Clark officiating. Interment will be in Heidlersburg Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of services. Eastern Star services will be held at 10:30 AM.
