Ethel G. Kuntz, age 95 of Gardners, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at York Hospital. She was born Friday, April 5, 1918 in Menallen Township, Adams County, the daughter of the late Wilbie T. and Ettie O. (Showers) Tuckey. Ethel graduated from Arendtsville Vocational School in 1937. She and her husband Fremont owned and operated Kuntz Orchards Inc. for 62 years. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Bendersville. She taught Sunday School in the children's department for many years. She was on the Apple Blossom Queen committee for many years. She was a committed wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her husband, Fremont S. Kuntz passed September 23, 2012. She is survived by two daughters: Carol L. and husband Leonard Lobaugh, Linda M. and husband Jay Murtoff; two sons: Louy P. and wife Bonnie Kuntz, Dean A. and wife Karen Kuntz; and daughter-in-law Diana K. Kuntz, all of Gardners, ten grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Jairus Kuntz who died Feb. 6, 2013 and one grandson, Kevin Kuntz. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 13 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 126 Church Street, Bendersville with Reverend Robert S. McEllroy III officiating. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 South Main Street, Bendersville on Friday July 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
