Evelyn "Evie" Mae Wiegand

Evelyn “Evie” Mae Wiegand, age 75, of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 24, 2020, at Gettysburg Center. She was born November 17, 1945, in Goldsboro, NC, as the daughter of the late Preston Edward and Grace Iona (Louey) Daugherty. Evie graduated in the Class of 1963 from Spring Grove High School. She was a homemaker to her family and was a dedicated member of Jehovah’s Witness Clearview Congregation Kingdom Hall in Hanover. In her spare time, Evie enjoyed cooking and gardening. Evie is survived by her two loving daughters, Sue M. Wiegand-Munshour and Bonnie J. Wiegand, both of Gettysburg; two grandchildren, Ashley Geiger and her husband, Tim of Gettysburg and Nicholas Munshour and his fiancé, Tessa Koons of Littlestown; great-granddaughter, Addison Mae Geiger; four brothers, Preston (Catherine) Daugherty, Gary (Diane) Daugherty, Doug (Joy) Daugherty, all of Hanover, and Gerald (Pam) Daugherty of Abbottstown and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, John H. Wiegand, Jr., who passed in September 2015. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Private Graveside Services will be in Wenksville Cemetery.
